Just Add Ink #591 | Sketch

This week's brief for Just Add Ink was challenging but fun!  I'd love to see what you create.  Click on the image below and come and join us for some design fun. Entries close Wednesday at midnight AEDT (i.e. Melbourne time).

The Friendly Hello stamp set is one of the free items you can choose in Stampin' Up!'s current Sale-A-Bration sale.  It's one of my favourite SAB products of all time!  It comes with a full pack of Designer Series Paper, all absolutely FREE! If you have a few items in your shopping basket I encourage you to hit that $180 mark and choose this stamp and paper as your free item.

Now onto the project!  This one requires a little fussy cutting but I do think it's worth it.  It's easy enough for you to replicate by just looking at it and by using the supply list below but below are my top tips to help you.

Fiona's top tips
  • Stamp the image in Crumb Cake for a softer effect. (Because our colour stamp pads are water based I can colour with Blends and not be worried about the ink running.)
  • To create the softer colouring tones I used the Colour Lifter Blends pen as my colouring tool.  Just touch it to the end of the colour Blend you wish and it absorbs a little ink and then you use that to add the colour to the page.  (I'll do a tutorial just on this very soon but in the meantime I do show you how to do it in this video.)
  • The sentiment stands out a lot better if you clear emboss over the top of it.  This is where your Stamparatus is a must!  It helps you place the stamp right back on top of where you stamped previously.

There's not too much longer before Sale-A-Bration ends so don't delay in getting your order in and earning this amazing free product.

Happy crafting,
