Have you seen the new Slim Line range in the Mini-Catalogue? Now that I don't have to make my own envelopes to fit this shape card there's no stopping me!

The Just Add Ink design team are challenging you this week to make a card that features a choice of two elements from either a fancy edge, circle, twine. Click on the image above to see our inspiration for you and to link your card to enter the challenge.

I chose to incorporate a fancy edge and twine. This was made so easy by using the Slim Card dies. They include two fancy edges. Now I had trouble trying to photograph the card I made standing up so that you can see the fancy edge so I had to lay it flat. This takes away from the effect of course, but where you see that nice patterned edge, that's the top half of the card, and the white underneath is the bottom half. Obviously you don't see this bit when it's standing up.

I chose the Hand Penned Petals stamp set to decorate my card. Silly me, I forgot to add the dies to my basket when I bought them so I fussy cut the flowers out.

I created my own background by cutting strips of Midnight Muse and Basic White cardstock and sticking them together before I die cut the edge. And I finished things off with a sentiment from the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Friendly Hello.
