Just Add Ink #582 | Photo Inspiration

Well the Christmas designs sure are ramping up, aren't they?  Over at Just Add Ink we are going all in with this week's challenge.  We'd love you to join us!  Just create a project inspired by the photo below.  Click on the image to be taken through to our challenge page and see lots of inspiration from the design team, and a link to enter your own project.

For my contribution I made up several sizes of hanging/decorative treat boxes.  I don't know shape you'd call them but they are almost a little galactic, don't you think?

These boxes are SO easy to make up.  Once you've done one, you'll be a master of it and able to make them at any size.

All you need is a square piece of paper, a hole punch, and some ribbon or twine - a bone folder and a pair of scissors would be helpful but aren't essential.

This box was made using a piece of 6 x 6 " Designer Series Paper.  That means you could make four of these from one sheet of DSP.  It's perfect for hanging on Christmas trees.

Next is the box made from an 8 x 8" square sheet.

And lastly the giant box made from a whole 12 x 12" sheet of DSP.  I think this size is my favourite but it's a little bit big for hanging on a tree, perhaps it'd be best as a table centre decoration.

I cannot stress how EASY these are to make up!  Just watch my step by step tutorial and follow along with me.  I make up up the medium size box in the video but you can use ANY square piece you wish (although I wouldn't start off with anything smaller than 6 x 6" in the beginning).

You can use any designer series paper that you desire for this project.  It doesn't even have to be Christmas themed. In the boxes in the post here I used Whimsy and Wonder DSP.  In the video I used Sweet Stockings DSP.

Happy crafting,
