Just Add Ink #572 | Inspiration

Today is an exciting day!  This card today marks my official start as a new member of the Just Add Ink Challenge design team.  I am SO HAPPY to be joining this group of fabulous crafters who are talented, generous, and encouraging.  If you only have time to play along with one challenge then this is the one for you!  New challenges each Friday morning AEST, closing Wednesdays 10pm, winners announced Thursday afternoons.

This week's challenge is a "Just add inspiration" challenge.  Use the image below to inspire a card of your own and take a look a the Design Team's own inspiration to help you out. Mine's below but you can see the others' by clicking this image.

I took inspiration from the rays of the sun over the flowers.  I flipped this to have the flowers radiating out from the sentiments in my cards.

I've made a video to show you the technique for making both of these cards (at the same time!) but first let's have a look at them a bit closer.  I'll also list the products I used and the dimensions later on.

Both cards measure the same (oops, sorry I'll have to get back to you with the dimensions! I'm writing this on holidays and didn't note it down!!)

I used an assortment of Blends to colour the images but you could use any kind of colour medium that you have.  Marker pens would look particularly fabulous.

Isn't it great to see how different these two cards look with just a few tweaks.  Do you have a preference for one over the other?  I can't decide!

Let me know if you find the tutorial helpful.  It's an easy technique and so effective.  I'll be making lots more cards using this wreath builder.

Both cards use the Springtime Joy stamp set, Many Messages stamp set, and the Messages die

And just for fun, here's an extra design using the exact same technique but with love hearts.  How fun does this look with the rainbow of colours?

I can't wait to see what you'll create with the Just Add Ink inspiration challenge this week.  I'll be looking at each and every entry so hit me up with your fabulous creations.

Happy crafting,
