I have a little trick for you today to be able to create your own paper embellishment to match other elements on your card.
I used my blender pens to pick up a little bit of ink and colour the balloon but the card needed some colour elsewhere too. So I dragged the blender pen on its side to draw stripes along a strip of cardstock. This gives an almost ombre look to each of the stripes - neat huh? Then from that strip I used a die from the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out a piece before snipping off the short ends.
Here's a list of the major items I used to make this card:
- Scalloped Contours dies
- Stitched Rectangle dies
- Count on Me stamp set
- Blossoms in Bloom stamp set
- Blender pens
- Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
- Baker's Twine
- Daffodil Delight Blends
- Colours: Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue
It's an easy card to replicate by looking at the card but I know that there's always something I've overlooked as being a bit more tricky so drop me a line if you're stuck and would like some help.
