Hydrangea Haven

The Hydrangea Hill suite can definitely play to the olde worlde or be jazzed up for more modern cards.  I tend to be a bit more vintage so I've gone with the soft dainty look with these cards.

I started off with folded card bases of Rococo Rose and Balmy Blue (I tend to use the USA card size measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4").

On these I layered sheets of the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 4".

Next I stamped my Hydrangeas in Memento black ink then on top of this I stamped the flower part (in the coordinating colour of the cardstock) and the leaves in Old Olive.  The mottled look that you see is a result of the stamps themselves.  You don't have to do anything special to get that effect, the stamp does all the work for you. (Gotta love a time saving stamp!)

Next I die cut the flowers out using the matching dies as well as a rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies (I used thick Whisper White for both).

The flower is adhered directly onto the rectangle which is adhere onto the DSP with dimensionals.

Lastly to finish off I stamped my sentiment "with love" from the stamp set in onto little die cut tags from the coordinating die set (which you can see in the image below) and popped on some coloured pearls from my collection.

Take a look at the suite in all its glory, isn't she a beauty?  Click here to view the whole suite and purchase any of the products.
