More Snail Mail

I promised you a detailed post about the other cards in my Snail Mail overview and tutorial video and here it is. These cards offer a variety of techniques and some little hints and tips for you too.

I keep calling this little guy a walrus but you know what? He has no tusks! He's a slug! I guess that matches the snail theme, better, huh? Bit more slimey than a walrus, but at least he's super cute in that bow tie, don't you think?

This card uses stamping directly onto the background DSP.  To do this choose a background that isn't going to make the sentiment disappear like this mostly white sheet from the Snail Mail suite.  The heart stamp in the set is actually an outline only so after I stamped those I coloured them in using my Basic Black dark Blend which also meant that they really pop off the page when it was finished.

Although you can't see it in the photo, the hearts on my second card have layer of Wink of Stella so they glisten as you look at the card and are super pretty.

This last card is my favourite.  I inked up different images from the stamp set in Versamark and white embosesed them to make the background.  Doesn't it look effective on the Pool Party cardstock?  The images are cut from the designer series paper. I white heat embossed the sentiment (from Itty Bitty Greetings) on Real Red cardstock and popped that up on dimensionals to match the popped up images.

I hope you love this suite as much as I do.  It's probably my favourite of all time.
