I have been working on designs to make up a ton of cards in bulk to send out to all my family and friends for Christmas this year. I look for designs that won't be too intricate to replicate en mass but which don't compromise my quality of design. It's a tough balance, and I usually always over do it with at least one time consuming element. But this year I think I've found my happy medium!
Here are three cards I made in the trial and error process. Which one's your favourite and which do you think will become the base design for my bulk cards?
For each of the cards I've used the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper. In the first card I paired this with Pear Pizzaz to make a tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I just love that Christmas tree from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and punch, don't you? The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas and my bling is Champagne Rhinestones.
The second card also uses Pear Pizzaz but swaps up the base card for Crumb Cake. The sentiment piece is stamped from the For Unto Us stamp set on a die cut piece from the Stitched Shapes framelits and popped up on dimensionals.
My final card uses the Shine Bright stamp set for both the sentiment and the star which I fussy cut (sorry, I only recently discovered this is actually retired - oops! I missed that when I did my big end of catalogue clear out).
All of these cards use layouts that can easily be applied to all of our Christmas papers and many of the different stamp sets. Which one do you think you'll try?
