Sending Love and Sunflowers

Today's post is the second of three posts to feature the Posted for You stamp set and punch bundle (you can see the first one here).  I was inspired but a photo of a postcard I came across which didn't have any words written, just a picture. So I drew on the lines with a marker pen and set too creating this postcard-card!

Believe it or not, there are quite a few steps to this card.  So here goes!
  1. With a water painter add some Soft Suede ink all over a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, this will be your base layer.
  2. While this is drying, stamp the stamp image, colour using a water painter, and punch out with the coordinating punch.
  3. Splatter some Crumb Cake ink over the page.
  4. Ink up the large sunflower stamp from the Celebrate Sunflowers in Saddle Brown memento ink, stamp off and then onto the card.
  5. Water-colour the sunflower and let dry.
  6. With a ruler, draw the postcard-style lines with Basic Black marker pen.
  7. Adhere stamp to the cardstock layer. TIP: only put adhesive in the centre of the underside so that the edges sit up slightly to create a more realistic look.
  8. Stamp the "special delivery" circle over the stamp as a postmark and again in the top left hand corner if you feel that area needs a little filling in.
  9. Ink up the sentiment stamp and put washi tape over the second half.  Stamp on the first line.  Ink up stamp again and mask off first half and stamp on second line.
  10. Use Tear and Tape or Stampin' Seal + to adhere the whole project onto Soft Suede card base.  TIP: because the whole top layer has been water-coloured it will have warped slightly.  Using our strongest glue will help adhere it to the cardbase completely and smoothly.

Check back next week for my final card using this cute little bundle!
