Designing A5 size cards

Making A5 cards can be tricky - you need to get the spacings on the card right.  Having a background with a repeated image and something that draws the eye into a smaller space can help with this.

I created this card to farewell a colleague at work.  We needed to all be able to sign it and so an A5 card (double the size of a standard card) was necessary.  I enlisted the help of the Bird Ballard Suite to help me create this card.

The designer series paper does all the background work for me and sets up my little image to have a greater spacial impact.  I stamped up the image from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Stayzon Black ink and then used an aqua painter to watercolour the image.

The sentiment is snipped out - sometimes you don't need a punch or a die, your own scissors can be just the ticket!

Thankfully this stamp set is carrying over to the next catalogue so you've got plenty of time to grab it and start creating beautiful cards today.  The designer series paper isn't though, so make sure you snap some up quick before it sells out ahead of the end of the current catalogue period.  Better still, IT'S ON SALE!  Yep!  Click here to shop for it now.

Happy crafting,
