The Stampin' Up! catalogues are a valuable source of inspiration for cardmaking. My card today is an almost exact CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of the card they have included to highlight the Grandma's House stamp set. It was a tiny bit fiddly but I LOVE the outcome. I think I will use the shading background effect a lot more now.
The frame is made using two of the Stitched Shapes framelits, one for the inner ring and stitched line, the other to cut around the outside of it. This is then stuck down on top of the cardstock to give a frame to the circle hole.
The ombre background is achieved by using a sponge brayer. The house and trees were fussy cut and then gently stuck to the bottom of the layer card and popped up on dimensionals along with the whole top layer. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.
Grandma's House is a versatile stamp set that can be used for much more than sending to grandmothers! I'll definitely be stamping that house and those flowers on the envelope lots more in cards to come!
