Are you a Mary Poppins fan? THE Mary Poppins film with Julie Andrews? The magic of it has stayed with me from my childhood, and was recently reawakened when I saw The Return of Mary Poppins. I love that for her, umbrellas aren't just a means of keeping dry in wet weather, but of conveying something magical, something fun, something loving. And so it is that I send showers of love to my friends with this card today.
I used the umbrella from the Little Elephant stamp set. Isn't it amazing how often we overlook the non-focus stamps in a set and don't let them shine on their own enough?
I stamped the umbrellas in: Poppy Parade, Mango Medley, Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, and Blueberry Bushel. The background is watercoloured in Pool Party. Take a look at the video here to see how I did that and put the card together (read on for card layer dimensions):
