I have a lot of friends overseas who I know are going to LOVE this kangaroo/koala combo! Isn't it a beauty? I love having baby cards on hand to send when a happy announcement is made so I better get a few more of these made and put into my stash.
Whenever I make baby cards, I always do them in each colour, although, lately everyone I know seems to be having girls so I should probably make double them amount of pinks!
I'm excited to be joining the What Will You Stamp blog challenge this week with these cards as well. Their challenges feature a different stamp set each week and I don't always have them, so when I do I love to play along.
I coloured up the kangaroo and koala using Blends. The shading effect they give is just fabulous!
The background is a mixture of two colours of inks which I used my aqua painter to watercolour down on Shimmery White cardstock. For the girl card I used Melon Mambo and Grapefruit Grove. For the boy card I used Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron.
And to add to the splash watercolour effect I flicked some ink over the watercolour area which then covered very light the rest of the cardstock.
I am also going to make this the subject of my next Tuesday Tutorial so tune in to make it with me (Facebook Live video - 7.30pm AEST over on my Facebook page.)
