Baptism card

On Sunday I became a godmother! The greatest of honours, especially to such a delightful baby as my goddaughter.  I wanted an extra special, one of a kind card for her to keep along with her other cards as a memento of this occasion.   I spent hours, literally hours, on a design I had in mind but just could not get it right.  Eventually I scrapped it and started over.  I spent a moment looking at the "baptism" stamp in the Inspired Events set and realised it was so beautiful I had to make it the star.  And so this card was born.

Do you recognise the background stamp on the Basic Grey?  That's right, it's the Watercolour Wash background stamp which I inked up in Versmark and stamped onto the cardstock to get a slightly stamped effect.

To allow the sentiment to really stand out as the focus of this card I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I complemented this shine with some silver Metalic Enamel Shapes.

Here's everything you need to make this card yourself.

Happy crafting,
