Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Box

Saturday, May 27, 2017

I love giving my cards as gifts and when they are note cards it's perfect when they have a gift box to accompany them.  I created this gift box to hold five of the cards I made in my last blog post.  It matches the design without replicating it giving some surprise to what's inside.

 Here's the video tutorial:

As promised here are all the dimensions so that you can make it along with me:
Whisper White cardstock: 23cm x 23cm
Score on Envelope Punchboard at 10.7cm and 15cm (then follow the scorelines around)

Crumbcake layer: 12.7cm x 9cm
Whisper White layer: 12.2 x 8.5cm

Thank you

I find being creative quite tiring at times.  It takes a lot of mental energy and it sure makes a mess of my craft area while I pull things out and try this and try that.  Sometimes I just want to make cards without the fuss!  And that's what I did with these little note cards.

Like my last blog post which was the Crazy Crafters blog hop, these are also Nadine Köller's.  I love her white and craft style so much.  And I can't wait to show you the gift box I made to store them in.  That's for the next blog post!

If you'd like to make these beauties there's still time left to purchase the two stamp sets I've used.  They both retire at the end of the month so after that you won't be able to get them in my online store any more, but two lucky people will be able to buy my pre-loved sets from me at a discount.  Message me if you are interested.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Nadine Köller

Sunday, May 21, 2017

I've long been a fan of Nadine Köller and so I was thrilled when I saw that the Crazy Crafters were hoping with her.  We have all CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of her designs.
Here's the one I chose (boy it was hard to narrow them down!):

And here is my take on Nadine's card:

I kept the note card size but used our pre-made notecard size card and envelope - so easy!  Then I sponged some ink onto Whisper White card stock and punched my flower from that twice.  Layered the two up, added a dot of black, and finished it with one of the new faceted gems which are from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  I kept the bling by adding sequins, and made one of them black to tie in with the centre of the flower and the sentiment.  The strip of DSP from the Eastern Elegance suite grounds the whole design on the twisted layered cardstock.
