Today is World Card Making Day. Who knew, right? But I'm not complaining, I am all for spreading the card making love.
My team are honouring the day with a special blog hop involving a whole host of both Australian and international demonstrators. You can see their work by clicking the links at the end of this blog post.
My contribution is one of my Merry Mice inspired Christmas cards. My friends are all complaining about the amount of Christmas products in the shops already, but I always start making my cards around this time of year because I have hundreds to send out and sell so if I don't knock some off before the start of November I have to stay up way too late every night making Christmas cards and the fun tends to wear off.
Fiona's notes: I can't believe I am about to say this, but...I chopped up my stamp!!!! I've heard countless demonstrators do this but I have never had the courage to go through with, until this card. I was sick of masking over the mice I didn't want to stamp (there are three little mice on this particular stamp) so I decided to cut them into individual stamps and, wow, I am SO glad I did! Makes stamping them so much quicker and easier. Don't be afraid to do it! Just make sure you are SURE before you go for the chop because once it's done, there's no going back.
For that bit of Christmas magic I inked up the little stars over the sentiment with my Wink of Stella Clear pen (it's so perfect for using on Christmas cards.)
Stamps: Merry Mice Ink: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, various for colouring Papers: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White Accessories: Wink of Stella clear
