Global Design Project Challenge #041

My granie-upline, Kylie Bertucci, has been coaxing me to play along with the Global Design Project ever since it started.  For one reason or another I haven't been able to.  But not any more!  Today's the day I play along!  This week's challenge is a colour challenge.  Here's the brief (click on the image to go to the GDP page):

And here's my entry:

Fiona's Notes: It took me a while trying to place the sentiment piece so that it stood out sufficiently against the diagonal background I had created using strips of DSP.  I was hesitant to cut into the background after all the work it took me to place the pieces at just the right distance and angle, but I'm so glad I did because now the sentiment really pops out.

Stamps: Confetti Celebration  Inks: Sweet Sugarplum  Papers: Whisper White, Sweet Sugar Plum, Night of Navy  Accessories: Circles Layering framelits, Stampin Dimensionals
