Have a Beautiful Birthday

Today I want to go through CASING in a bit more detail.  CASE means either to "Copy And Share Everything" or "Copy and Selectively Edit."  Both are fine to do and in either case make sure you
link back to the original card which gave you the inspiration so that people know where
the original design is.

I'm going to Copy and Selectively Edit this pretty card from Tami White and I will run through with you how I got from hers to mine.  Tami's steps are in blue and mine are in orange.

  1. Stamp Set - Tami's flowers are from the Beautiful Bouquet and made a "thinking of you" card. I used the Birthday Blossoms set and made a birthday card.
  2. Ink - Tami stamped in Black Stazon and coloured in Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow inks using an aqua painter.  I also used aqua painters.  First I added a green background before stamping my flowers on.  I stamped my flowers in Blackberry Bliss.  Then with my aqua painters, instead of inking them up I just started to gentle colour my flowers.  They picked up the ink from the flower outlines and that was all the ink I needed.
  3. Paper - Tami used a black border on a Blackberry Bliss base.  I kept the borders but used a Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White combo.
  4. AccessoriesTami accented her flowers with a white gel pen.   I used rhinestones to bring a bit of life to my flowers

So there you have it.  A bit of a guide to CASEing to help you draw inspiration on a design but then making it your own.  Thanks so much, Tami, for sharing your beautiful designs with us all.

Current Host Code: EUZUPHD7 (enter this with any order of $250 or less so that I can share the hostess bonus love with you!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
