Crazy Crafters March Blog Hop with Allison Okamitsu

Canadian demo Allison Okamitsu's beautiful creations first popped up on my radar when I came across this beautiful Advent Box project.  So I'm really excited to be in a blog hop honouring her.

I chose this card of hers to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit, in this instance) because I loved the coloured-in vellum.  Here's my card based on hers:

Fiona's Notes:
  • The little bumblebees are stamped on one side of the velum and then coloured with markers from behind.  This creates a stand-out black with subtler colours coming through the paper.
  • The little heart accent is clear so I stuck onto Daffodil Delight cardstock then snipped it out and stuck it on with glue.
  • Although it's hard to see in a photo, I ran my new Wink of Stella pen over the black cardstock behind the sentiment.  When you see the card it shimmers subtly and really makes the sentiment stand out.
Stamps:  Baby Bumblebee, Itty Bitty Banners  Inks: Stayzon Black  Papers: Whisper White thick, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Vellum  Accessories: Stampin Write Markers, Itty Bitty Accents, stampin dimensionals, Wink of Stella pen
