Contrasting Birthday

Following on from the contrast of my Flowering Flourishes card a few days a go, I thought I'd show you another good contrast.  This one I definitely had in mind for guys, but it can most certainly be for anyone.

Fiona's Notes: Because I only wanted to use the text in the stamp I stamped the "happy" in Night of Navy and then went over it with a white gel pen.

Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners  Inks: Night of Navy  Papers: Night of Navy, Whisper White thick, Whisper White Accessories: Regals Candy Dots, Neutrals Candy Dots

  1. I really like this card but I am trying to figure out the blue layers. Are the two dark colors you used in this card night of navy, because one looks darker than the other. You say Night of Navy, but it looks as if the Night of Navy is layered on black. If not, which blue is the blue layered onto.

    Thanks.

    1. Hi Linda, I only used Night of Navy and Whisper White. Perhaps lighting makes one look darker than the other. Hope that helps!

  2. I am also trying to figure out the size of the card. I usually yse 8 1/2 X 11 and turned sideways. This you have the fold at the top and I cannot figure it out.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. Hello again, my base cardstock was A4 (rather than US letter) cut in half and then folded in half, so the dimensions are a little different from what you usually use. I suggest keeping your same standard size and cutting the first layer 1/2" less length and width ways, and then then 1/4" less for the top rectangle.
