Birthday butterflies

It can be deceiving just what goes into make a card "clean and simple."   Check out my notes below to read the steps involved in making this card so you won't go wrong.

Fiona's notes:
  • Work on the top layer of cardstock first by punching out the large butterfly first and
  • Then using butterflies punched out of sticky note paper, position them them next to the large butterfly and punch over the top of them
  • Stamp the sentiment onto the top layer of cardstock
  • Stamp two small and two large butterflies
  • Score one of the larger butterflies down the middle and fold up the wings then glue down a small piece of natural twine and gently split it at the top
  • Place (not adhere) the top piece of cardstock onto the bottom where you'd like to later adhere it and using this as a guide adhere the three butterflies onto the main piece of cardstock
  • Using stampin dimensionals, pop up the top layer of cardstock
  • Finally use a stampin dimensional to stick the remaining large butterfly ontop of the one already stuck down and gently fold up the wings
