Have you ever seen any of the Stampin' Up! catalogues? In showcasing the range of products they provide pages and pages of pictures of projects to give you inspiration. This one from the 2015 Occasions catalogue really caught my eye. It's such a cute card for a new baby, or anything baby related really. So I wanted to make it myself and share it with you.
As usual I've put my own twist on it using what I had to hand.

The tiny hearts are from the Simon Says Falling Hearts die and one go through my Big Shot gives me enough hearts to make a number of these cards. I scattered them randomly onto my card (Whisper White Cardstock) and then got to work on the bee and tag.
After stamping the Little Baby Bumblebee I hand cut it out and using my Daffodil Delight Blendabilities coloured in each of the stripes. The sentiment is attached to the stamp and I know that many people have cut it off to allow for easier stamping of the bee onto a larger area. I will probably end up doing the same but for now I have left it intact. I was able to easily stamp them this way for the purpose of my card. Although it's quite dark in this photo, the banner with the sentiment is actually on Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock.
Next I started on my tag. To make it I cut a piece of cardstock 2" wide which fits perfectly into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The best thing about it being a punch is that you can make it as long or as short as your project needs. For this I cut 3" long. Using a sponge dauber I inked it up in Soft Sky and set about lightly adding ink to the tag getting darker the further towards the bottom I got.
I tied some ribbon through the top, popped my bee and tag on with dimensionals and made a matching envelope.
The friend I sent it to had a hard time of things in childbirth so it was nice to send a card made with such love to her.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
