Baptismal cross

Dear friends of mine baptised their first born not too long ago and I wanted to make a special card for them befitting of the important occasion.

The top panel floats above the card and thus is raised up over the vellum with the crosses on it.  I stamped my cross stamp on the FRONT of the vellum in Versamark then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then on the BACK of the vellum I coloured in the crosses using my Stampin' Write Marker pens.  I adhered this to the main card with sticky tape.

I stamped my sentiment onto the front panel in matching ink and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Et voila! A versatile card that can be used for so many occasions, most especially a boy's baptism (I also made a pink one for girls).

Super big thanks to Lisa Adessa for the idea.  Take a look at the card on her blog which gave me the inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today.
