Get Well Feathers

I'm sorry I've been AWOL since Christmas.  I suffered a neck injury in December and the recovery has been slow.  I'm still on drugs and receiving treatment for it but I've been trying to tick away with my card making because it brings me so much pleasure.

Fittingly I've a get well  card for you today.  How much of a smile would you have upon receiving one of these in the mail if you were unwell?

The popped up panel is 1cm smaller than the actual card.  Onto this I stuck a strip of DSP from the Color Me Autumn pack (it's in the Clearance Rack now - hurry and pick it up at 30% off before it sells out and disappears!) which was mounted onto a 75mm larger strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock.

Above this I stamped my sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set (I only inked up part of the stamp so that I only got "GET WELL") in Crushed Curry ink.

The feathers are stamped in Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry and die cut with the Feathers Framelits gathered together with a gold button and some linen thread.  (NB You can buy the feathers stamp and die in a bundle and save 15%!  Here it is in my shop.)

The earthy colours of this card speak to my Aussie heart.  Super big thanks to Sue Itell for the original design from which mine was CASEd.
