Dotty Thanks

Stampin' Up! notecards are great for making up bulk thank yous so I always like quick and simple designs for the front of them in keeping with the spirit of "bulk"!

Start off by stamping the sentiment in versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Then use an aqua painter and ink to create three circles in different colours to let the words stand out.

Here's everything you need to make this card yourself.

Colourful Thanks

A floral thank you card never goes astray!  Especially one that unleashes the inner child in you who gets excited at the prospect of colouring in!!

I spruced this up with some of the gorgeous paper from the Eastern Palace DSP pack.  That lemon-lime twist is really growing on me.

Wishing you brighter days

Raining down well wishes today on a friend who was in hospital recently.  Do you reckon a card a day keeps the recovery blues away?

Not sure why my rhinestones aren't sparkly white.  Wouldn't it be fun to have an umbrella covered in them?!  I love a bit of sparkle to brighten up a rainy day.

Birthday Memories

Sunday, September 03, 2017

When I attended OnStage in Sydney this year I was blown away but the adorable Birthday Memories Suite.  It offers something different and new, colourful and celebratory, and is sure to steal the hearts of children around the globe.  So I've CASEd the catalogue to bring to life a few of the characters featured.

Aren't they fun?  I think the little turtle is my favourite.  You will have to wait to see him on another cards sometime.  Or why wait?!  Get the suite for yourself!

I just love the little guy up on the shoulders of his parent!

These guys are fussy cut out but there is a die for the fox (another character you'll meet soon in another design).

August Christmas Kit Cards Revealed

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

I loved making up your card kits this month.  I stepped things up with a slightly more elaborate card and another that is good for bulk card making sessions.  What do you prefer? Intricate and a bit more time consuming, or quick and easy?

This month's cards used the Oh What Fun stamp set.  So many great sentiments in one set!

I love this tree design in the Be Merry DSP pack.  I think I'll be using a lot more of it...

Tracing a circle first helps form this wreath.  Yep, each leaf is individually stamped!

Ready for the release of the September kits?  Just two more days to go...!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Debbie Henderson

Sunday, August 27, 2017

Debbie Henderson's gorgeous creations are the theme for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop today.  We CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of her designs and then you can hop from one blog to the next seeing what we all came up with.

Here's the design I have based mine on:

And this is my card based on that:

Have you got yourself some of the double stitched ribbons yet?  They are gorgeous!  You can flip them on either side so you get two pretty ribbon designs from the same product.  Bonus!

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set.  It's so pretty with its cursive writing and fit so well at the top of my card.
