Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Martha Inchely

Sunday, August 13, 2017

Blog hops come around so quickly these days!  Good thing I love 'em!  Today the Crazy Crafters are hopping with Artisan Design Team member, Martha Inchley.  Here's the project of hers I've chosen to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit):

I've taken it and made it into a happy new home card for the people who just bought one of the units in my block:

I love this set!  It's so versatile.  I drew the line on the bottom with my Basic Black marker just to give the little car some grounding.

Watercolour Dots of Thanks

Tuesday, August 08, 2017

Quick, easy, and fun!  That's how we like our cards when we are short on time, right?  I've got just the thing!  These notecard size cards are quick to whip up and have on hand for any occasion you want to give thanks to someone.

Just grab your aqua painter, three ink pads (or marker pens with a clear block - let me know if you want to know how to do this technique), a Versamark ink pad, clear embossing powder, and your favourite thank you stamp and you're off!

For a bit of a contrast I used the shimmer paper as my top layer.  It's also great for water colouring.

Heat emboss first, then add colour second.

July Christmas Kit Cards Revealed

Monday, July 31, 2017

My July Christmas Kits flew out the door this month.  People are obviously loving the chance to get ahead of the game and make their Christmas cards well in advance with little effort.  And that's what the kits are all about.  I do the ground work for you to do the fun part of just putting them together.  I design them, cut the materials, and send out step by step instruction sheets so that you can easily make more of the same things if you love a certain design.  Best of all, I offer 10% off all related items in my store for that month.  Winning!

This month I based the designs on the gorgeous Merry Mistletoe stamp set.

And here are the two easy-to-replicate-in-bulk designs that I created:

Come join in the fun! The August kit will be released tomorrow so check back in then and order yours.

Happy crafting,

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Susan Wong

Sunday, July 30, 2017

The super talented Susan Wong is my team's special guest today as we blog hop through her designs and CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) her work.  Here's the card I've chosen to CASE:

And here's my take:

These were so simple and fun to make.  Just stamp the image in Versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder then sponge your ink colour of choice all over the image, and finally cut out with a punch or the layering framelits.

The little flower on this one got cut off in the punch so I stamped it onto white cardstock and coloured it in then glued it on top.  I like how it peaks over the top of the circle.

They make a great set and are so versatile to have on hand for a variety of occasions.
